Fascinating camera work, this is a masterfully crafted and beautiful still life! The black background with soft light and shadows, a hint of a diagonal angle, an odd number of perfectly smooth apples in a lovely shade of green with one upturned... together the components of the image balance beautifully and creates a wonderful visual effect. This lighting gives me an optical illusion that the apples have impressions in them. The illusion comes and goes when I stare. I wonder if that was your purpose? This would be a great entry for next week's challenge. Good job!
