Album Info:

This camp stove is made with two bottoms from soda cans. It is very small but can heat a cup of liquid in a matter of minutes. To see how this is made go to: http://www.pcthiker.com/pages/gear/pepsi stove.shtml. My son is always looking for lightweight items for his trail riding gear.

    • Neato. However it would only work for one person. When we camped we had the works. Including three tents. One community tent for the kids, one small one for us, and a screened tent for eating. And by the way tents are not nearly as good as they used to be. With 7 children it was a major production. But we went often and they got to see places we couldn't have gone to otherwise. We started camping in what was considered "primitive areas". Eventually we went to more modern campsites, and added electric to our huge setup. We carried a fan to help keep mosquitoes away. Worked too.

    • Hi Mary Ann! I don't usually look ahead before commenting, but this really intrigued me and could see the subject continued in the thumbnail at the right. So I looked at all 3 and I am really impressed with what your son accomplished, also with your 3 photos documenting the steps from made to fuel to fire. Great series this week. Hugs and greetings from, OKLAHOMA. Susie
