Album Info:
Straight out of a fashion history with every feature of dress. Ribeiro in "Dress in Eighteenth Century Europe," p. 130 (2002) wrote, "... she summed up the elegance of the rococo which could so easily, in less practiced wearer, seem mere fussiness of dress and decoration." She uses lace for a necklace and discretely displays pearls elsewhere, restraint characteristic of her portraits. The decorations of her gown are very three-dimensional, a full display of rococo style.
