Very interesting - instead of just taking a picture of the pebbles underwater, which also would have been beautiful, you've recreated the feeling of the water refracting over the rocks, and of different levels of the layers of rocks. Cool! Beautiful picture!!

Terrific find! This photo is one you can sit and stare at and find something new every time. My first impression was, WHAT is that on the rocks? Then I saw the dimension and fragmentations - its a "rock puzzle"! You think you are looking at "one" piece then you look a bit farther and its another piece! Hard to describe, that's for sure. Beautiful. Reminds me of my son when he was little; he didnt bring me flowers as often as he did ROCKS...where ever he was, he would come home with a pocketful of rocks, he mostly searched out the "moon rocks", as we called them - the white ones that seem a bit translucent (but arent of course). Im downloading this beauty in memory of those good ole days. Thanks for sharing this and congratulations on POTD!!!

Interesting concept for a sculpture, but you captured it in a really cool perspective making you wonder if it really is made up of all those shapes or just a trick of the eye, until you look closer. What a wonderful idea! And so beautiful! Give me a "rock" from the outdoors ANYTIME over any "gem" from a store! Husband & I were traveling across the US of A in a VW Bus. He told me that we had to lose some "weight" and I had some pretty big rocks that I had gathered from everywhere.....reminded me of the early settlers, they left piano's and other "heavy" items on their journey West!
