Lovely shot with great ripple on the water. Enjoyed your three. Hugs, Tenia

The swirls are from it moving in the water, paddling its feet maybe. Makes for a lovely shot, but then you must have known I would live it!

wonderful the duck looks lonely

This is adorable, it is his feet movement that is causing the ripples. Sometimes they don't move but their feet are still moving.

Yes, the ripple effect of the water is really neat...and a really neat set of three for the week, Mary Ann.

The duck's feet are probably moving under the water. The ripples look like a "reverse wake". This is a very cute photo.

So this isn't mock duck? Sorry - I couldn't resist! She is very pretty. Is that seaweed behind her? Have a great week MaryAnn! ~Sue

The swirling water is definitely from sound waves. The duck's quacking sounds cause movement under the surface and the ripple effect is the result. Just kidding. Another nice photo - I too really like the little waves that precede him. A trio of terrific shots MaryAnn!! - DeeAnne

I like this picture, too! Are you sure it's a real duck? And real water? :-)

Hmm, she was probably moving her feet! Just love these birds. We have loads of them here in our neighborhood - and they tend to be very demanding when you stop to take pictures of them!

Looks like he had been going round in ever decreasing circles! Remind me to tell you the story of a dancing pelican I once photographed!! Three goodies mate - it's been a fun visit! Hugs, Peter

Did the duck have beans for lunch? Nice shot and the swirls, whatever caused them, make for a very nice composition.

I'll bet she caused the swirrling water, she makes her own wake.

She was probably wiggling her tootsies and causing the ripple effect. This is really a sweet photograph. Loved your 3 this week. Hugs, Sharon
