Reneeeeee!! I LOVE it!!!!!!!! It's fabulous!!! Yes, I hear ya on the wacky ... look back to my "eat more cookie dough" for the resolutions challenge ... and others of mine (transportaiton, birdie on horseback, lol) ... so I lean toward the offbeat and wacky, too ... and you know what??? GOOD for us!!! Shoot, chances of winning are ridiculously slim anyhow, why NOT have some fun!!! I LOVE this one of yours ... but you see you've got TWO important things going!! First, it's not called "CREATIVE challenge" for nothing!!! And this is wonderfully creative!!! And second, I think they're (or they SHOULD be) looking for really great photography ... that means perspective and FOCUS and detail ... all that technical stuff!! You've got it ALL right here, hon!!! Ya DONE GOOD!!!!!! LOVE it!!!!

This looks fun. It reminds me of those drawings the kids used to do, there were numerous colors all mixed together on a page of paper, then there was black that covered all those colors up on top of them. You would take a special pencil and draw on the black and ,underneath, all those colors would emerge and the drawing would look like a neon drawing.
