Album Info:
Our for a drive just north of Whitehall, MI, we came upon this old abandoned barn. Over the years you could see where the woods was slowly creeping in to encompass it. Before long it will be just a pile of rubble. How sad!

Yes, it is sad, but it makes for a very pretty photo.

I know, when I see homes like this I imagine generations of families and children happily living there. I try to imagine what they might be like. Wonderful photo Mary Ann.

Actually the nature takes what has been taken from her too, and before long all this will be just wild beauty.WOW! Maybe one day a place for somebody to build a new home for his family.

But it still has a quiet dignity--think of all it has sheltered and the help it has provided to its owners! Poignant shot!

I love this country scene, Mary Ann. Always interesting to see the old barns of yesteryear. Great composition. Loved your 3 this week, and a happy Mother's Day to you also. Greetings and hugs from, OKLAHOMA. Susie

Yes, it sure is old. But lovely. I don't think it's sad. I find it very interesting to see the way our structures return to nature when left unchecked. I'll bet that wood is just gorgeous too, so aged and worn. Thanks for sharing this!

Sad indeed, but these old barns seem to be a feature of the landscape out there. I have seen many albums in WS devoted to them. I really love this photo by the way - there is something about it that appeals to me but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Peter

Oh how rustic!! Beautiful, quiet scene. Looks like a third building in front of the large one. Beautiful three again this week, Mary Ann. - Best regards, DeeAnne

I'm sorry I put an "e" in your name. It should be MaryAnn right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Tenia
