If I remember correctly, this CBS mic flag was left behind after the second Cotton Bowl Parade show I did, and I stuck it in my bag, rather than see it get trashed. David Graham, tech manager from CBS at the time, was quite congenial about it and said, if the producer wasn't interested, neither was he. I laughed and took it home.
