This was the clubhouse and office for the RV Resort we stay in. It took less than a day for the whole building to be demolished and hauled away. Another hurricane 'Charlie' victim..

    • Beautiful skies in this capture, Mary Ann. The times they are a-changin. To quote Bob Dylan. There's a battle outside And it is ragin'. It'll soon shake your windows And rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin'. I hope this change is for the better, and they will build a nice new one. Cheers, Susie

    • Are they going to rebuild? Our 55 plus community Plantation Manor in Fort Pierce was hit twice in 2004 by Frances and Jeanne and again was hit by Wilma in 2005. although there had been Several new manufactured homes recently put there and more of the older models were still standing, in 2006 they sold the park to developers and evicted everyone. Most of the newer homes were built just prior to Frances and several after all three storms and sold & built by the park. The amount of money they offered people to help pay the cost of moving the homes never came close to what it would cost to do so. I am glad we got out from there when we did. December 2004.

    • Poor clubhouse, but maybe there will be another nice building there in a few months. Great shot though.

    • Very well documented story, Mary Ann! It is amazing what these crews can do in such a short period of time.

    • I thought this was another 'Extreme Makeover-Home Edition'...just kidding. It is always fun to play the photojournalist during an interesting event like this however. Terry
