She is an icon and a movie star for decades. Joan was poor and from a broken home. A miserable life she started in show business playing role after role. She won an Oscar for "Mildred Pierce". She adopted her children who wrote " tell all" books about her and she left them nothing in her will. One book by Christine was made into a movie with Faye Dunaway. She hated Bette Davis, and the two stars played in a horror movie "What every happened to baby Jane". Speaking of horror, Joan saw herself one day and never went outside again.
