Cut the background at 3.5 inch, focus fabrics at 4 inch. I don't recommend bigger blocks, this is a fast project meant to be tied at each corner or machine quilted in the ditch. Larger blocks create too much shifting in use and wash, resulting in torn seams and floppy looking biscuits.
