Calendar pic was not inspiring me, so I covered it up and started over. The photo of the Spanish Mission I had was kind of flat looking, so I colored in the brick and sky with pastels to render a hand-drawn look. The surrounding stucco/brick border was made using light molding paste. The white of the stucco was too bright for me, so I did a light wash of Walnut Ink and rubbed some brown shoe polish over it. It looks like stucco, but has a very light leathery feel to this page now.
