I've had it a few months now.It's an ok guitar,if uninspring, with microphonic pickups, a Yamaha 012 Pacifica will probably be better for an absolute beginner -but,this does have a neck which small fingers will find handy,just dandy for knocking out those open chords. It's very light and if you need a travel guitar..here you are. Replace tuners and tone capacitor and get the nut slots filed down lower,but, watch out for high frets around fret 16. 6 out of 10 compared to a Pac 312 or Mex Strat
