Ultraman: superhero, monster-fighter, intergalactic cop from Nebula M-78, and all around Good Guy. There's something incredibly appealing about the Ultraheroes. A simplicity of design combined with a suggestion of good will, and the willingness to fight the most horrific kaiju (Japanese giant monsters) clad only in silver and red tights. What kid hasn't wanted to hold his beta-capsule aloft and transform into the greatest superhero of all?! Buildup and photo by STan G. Hyde.
