Jiras appeared in an ULTRAMAN episode where he was protected by a scientist who loved and studied monsters. Obviously a Godzilla suit with a frill attached to the neck, he's one of the many touchstones that connect the Godzilla series to the Ultraman series. (Eiji Tsuburaya, who created the effects for Godzilla, created the Ultra series under the aegis of his own Tsuburaya Productions, and many vehicles and Kaiju that had appeared for Toho Ltd. appeared under different guises in the show.)
