Hello Luc! What a sensitive and vivid portrayal of urbean decay! The scenes have been captured with deep perception. I admire your interpretation of them. We often pass by, look but not see. You have created an anthology of pictures here in which the parallel world is visible and enhanced. Lovely pictures! I do not know how I missed this album when it was featured. Thanks for sharing. WOW Luc, you were very brave venturing out into these districts with a camera in your hand! But you made it safely home with a whole batch of wonderful photos to show for it. You picked the subject perfectly for the medium you used and the results are just superb. I was brought up on black and white and for many years it was the only thing I knew. I have enjoyed this album immensely - I could almost say it has been like a breath of fresh air after some of the albums WS have highlighted of late. My warmest congratulations on being featured and I hope it does well for you. All best wishes and I hope 2007 is a truly great year for you. Peter

As it should, your album tears at the heart. There but for the grace of God go I certainly does not fit here because these people may be more Blessed than we are. We are never given a burden that our back will not bear. The black and white idiom certainly adds to the starkness of the individual stories that we will never know. Thank you for the reminder. Hi Luc! You did a great job with the B&W film. I can remember when I was young that's all we had to use. You did a super job with the captions with this album. Unfornately, the urban decay is in all the cities and is so sad. I tend to get upset when I see the graffiti on the buildings in St. Louis because it seems like the gangs are very artistly talented and never put that talent to good use. Thanks for visiting my bird album and all the photo messages; I was so happy to hear from you and hope you are doing much, much better now. Have a wonderful week. Sharon

Dear Luc...in my journey to find the place to thank you for your visit to Bamburgh Castle I found this place...absolutely Great...without paying attention to so called "black sides" of life we would never touch the beauty of it. Brilliant atmosphere you have created here - reminding this from my favourite movie "Blow-Up&quo t; by Antonioni. Your picture "Heartbreak Hotel" I would call "The Million Dollar Hotel" because of similiarity to the movie under this title...and the one you called "Don't judge him...It could be anyone of us"...yeah...he simply is in everyone of us. Thank you for the important experience. You are not only wonderful photographer, Luc, but also - wise teacher. Many warm regards from very moved Tami. PS.Unfortunately I do not have the pictures of the inside of the castle (which had its ugly side, too;)- I visited Northumberland in November last year and it was closed:(...besides - do you know that this castle was one of the locations for taking pictures to Harry Potter's movies?:)...friendly regards again - Tami:)

P.S. I don't normally do this, but I've just wasted the morning looking at some great portraits and landscapes on somebody else's site. I think you'd enjoy them, so I'm putting in the address to one of her albums. Her other albums are good too, so good I think she must be an old pro. Dear Luc,Outstanding story through your photo essay.Talk about being nieve. I thought these things did not exist in Canada but only in the States. We always speak of Canada as being clean and caring for its people. Here in the states these scenes are commonplace (unfortunately). You have opened our eyes that poverty and decay are worldwide problems. No one should ever have to sleep in the streets. No human should ever have to suffer these indignations. Great work. Maybe some good can come from your efforts.

Michel

Urban Campground just really grabbed me. As for the Graffiti, I tend to call it the "dying generation", because it will stop occuring one day, and our photos of it will be the only history of it, so we owe it to mankind to take the pictures and record it. You are doing a wonderful job of doing just that. merryeb in California, USA

Hi Luc! I came by for another look:-)))) This album reminds me of old black and white movies. You have really done an excellent job. How does $1.00 sale in the East Side fit in?LOL!!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments in Passion Blooms and Glorious Skies. I appreciate your input very much! Take care! Jane

Bonjour Luc!

Great album and great composition. i know thatn this job is dangerous, but i think that urban "graffiti&qu ot; or art is a sample of actual art. Congratulation as always. Maurizio. Italy

Hi Luc! This is a stunning display of urban decay. The choice of black and white along with your perspectives and comments emphasize the negative side of city life and human nature. Very well done! Take care! Jane
