Hi Jade,thanks a lot for your visit and the lovely comments on our Beloeil Castle album. I noticed you had a 'few' questions...lol. I always try to give as much info as I can, but ofcourse there are things I simply don't know or cannot find in the net.But maybe here are some answers to your questions: We visited the castle during their anual 10 days flower exhibition.This year the theme was Amaryllis and Orchids.It was done by Geert Pattyn,a top flower arranger from Belgium.He is an artist with flowers and he has written a lot of books,mostly about flowers.For this show he used flowers of the Amaryllis and Orchids.These flowers are grown in a famous Belgian nursery and you could buy Amaryllis flowers at their stand in the courd of the castle. As I said our pictures are taken at the anual 10 days flower show, during the show/exhibition, the castle is open for public 10 days at a row.Otherwise the castle is just open during weekend afternoons. Beloeil castle is one of the few here in Belgium where you are allowed to take pictures.We think the owners are still living in the castle. BTW: the large round 'things' in the Amblise room are part of the flowershow. I took pictures of three sides of the castle,and the gate side looks totally different as if it is a different castle..:)When you cross a bridge you come in the court of the castle. We are not sure how old the dress/gown is, but we think it is some 200 years or older. Tada, that's it,I hope I didn't tell you any lies here...lol.Have a great weekend, cheers, Henri.
