  • Boy, you really do have fun with your software. I am lucky to just lighten some of them, or crop them a bit.

  • Hi Jim, I am honoured to be the first to sign the guestbook to this excellent Hallowe'en album. I am reminded of a poem I learned at the age of twelve, though I can only now remember the first verse and have long forgotten the name of the poet. It goes like this: "Is there anybody there? said the traveler, knocking on the moonlit door, as his horse in silence champed the grasses of the forest's ferny floor. A bird flew up out of a turret, above the traveler's head, and he smote upon the door again a second time. "Is there anybody there?" he said. But no one descended to the traveler. No head from the leaf fringed sill leaned over and looked into his grey eyes, as he stood, perplexed and still. But only a host of phantom listeners, who dwelt in the lone house then, stood listening in the quiet of the moonlight, to that voice from the world of men. Stood listening in the faint moonbeams by the dark stair, that goes down to the empty hall, harkening in an air stirred and shaken by the lonely traveler's call. And he felt in his heart their strangeness, their stillness answering his cry, and his horse moved, champing the dark turf, 'neath the starred and leafy sky. And suddenly he smote upon the door even louder and lifted his Head. "Tell them I came and no one answered, that I kept my word", he said. It is many years - decades in fact since I read that poem and I wish now that I had memorised the other verses as well and - more to the point - the name of the poet! So you see what a powerful effect your album has had, extracting data from the depths of my memory banks! Thank you very much for sharing your creative talent and for visiting my album "The Beauty of Buds". Best wishes, Kathryn
