  • Corina, I am very proud of you for today, being the member choice album. Especially since you also demostrated very clearly the process of this manner of labeling. Beautifully and tactfully done!

  • All this technology blows my mind! The crux of the matter is that if you want or think you might want to use a photo for professional purposes, do not put it on a free photosharing site. I think that standards of photography in the Webshots community are improving all the time, as we gain experience and learn from each other. How many of us can afford to leave our doors and windows open, when we go out? Not many! We are not supposed to be substituting for the pros. If someone is a professional photographer and wishes to put his or her photos that weren't quite up to the mark on Webshots with a link to his or her professional site, then that is fine. The trouble comes, when you start mixing the two. We are very fortunate with Webshots, in that the files we download stay on our computer, unless we uninstall the Webshots software, and we have excellent member-to-member communications. Sometimes newcomers don't always understand what they can or can't do, but we must be careful not to let all the recent furore destroy friendships. We should be vigilant and sensible. I don't own an expensive diamond necklace, but, if I did, I would not leave it on open display on my living room windowsill or on a car seat. I think we need to move on now and put the past behind us to the extent that we learn from it, but do not dwell on it. I have never succeeded in uploading a photo onto Webshots more than 3 megabytes in size, as the software cannot cope with it. The resolution needed for quality printing is substantially higher than that needed for screen display, so I think that if someone tried to print our photographs they would find the results disappointing and not commercially viable. Regards to all. Kathryn

  • Ciao Corina Very interesting presentation...but...if you put your watermark in the middle of the photo...you wasrte your photos..if I see a similar pics..I'll skip the whole album. Better if you put it in the corner. Anyway there are several software for completly delete the exif file and change it...even the file property. I have apreciate this work anyway. Paolo

  • Thank you so much for this educational demonstration. Many of us here on Webshots have been amazed at the blatent use of other's photos by some members here and if anything, it is a wake up call for any one of us who may at some point wish to publish our photos on a professional level. I thank you for sharing this very valuable presentation. It is a wonderful public service. Warm regards, Marjie/Olynpia,WA
