Album Description:
Photos that look unique. These were taken east of Tulsa on the way to Missouri on July 4th 2003, photos are not the best quality as they are taken going 75+ MPH through the windshield. This was just how the sun looked like you could reach up and touch it

Hi Susie, this album reminds me of how I feel everytime I see the setting sun sinking down in clear blue skies, can't help myself but take photos of it! Interesting album! Regards, Glenn

Hi Susie--great album. You probably could have taken more shots if you were obeying the speed limit--LOL. Was there a forest/grass fire nearby? it looks like that kind of sky. Thanks also for your kind comment on my "top of the rock" in the Nighttime creative challenge. Very much appreciated. Mike

Dearest Susie, I can see how you would be captivated by this amazing sight, and it is amusing to imagine you taking the shots at the steering wheel at 75mph while trying not to drive off the road!! I do the same thing many times with not such fantastic results!! It is truly spectacular!! I love the soft pink glow and mystical light, it is very beautiful!! I wish you a beautiful day! Sharon

Strange sun, jist like a big ball hanging in mid air. Wow, lucky you to be there at the right time to witness this. I wonder what cause this, fire/smoke, humidity - haze? Never mind, who cares, enjoy this view! Rob

Hi Susie. The color and visual effect of the sun is amazing. This is very unique and interesting, Also, you actually did pretty well taking most of these photos from a moving vehicle. Nice job. Thank you also for your welcome back to 3-a-week. It's good to be back though keeping up with everything is always a challenge. Best wishes and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care, Ray

This is why I can't get more things done. I came to look at your 3 a week and ended up checking out your "strange sunrise" instead!! I agree it does look like the Sunset my husband captured along I-10 last October! Well now on to your 3 a week! Hugs, Bonnie

This is when you can actually look at the sun and see the enormous size of it! It looks like it is so close to us, it is 1000 times the size of earth! Imagine that! WOW!

Great colour. I have seen similar colours here in Oz when there are bushfires & the air is full of smoke. It could also be pollution held down by low cloud. I took a shot of a sunset just recently that was bright red. It only stayed that way for a few minutes so I was lucky to catch it. It's in the New Photos album at the moment if you're interested.
