Hi Marnie; Just happen to come this way and see that you love the same old movies I do, I come by it thru my mothers family. They worked for M.G.M. during the 30's-40's. Mom worked in the millinary dept. and made hats for the stars , old aunt Mini was director of costuming for the dancers and the story go's that "she would kick the head dresses down the the hallway and if it servived that it was useable for the movie" Aunt Loie was a dancer and worked on Gown with the Wind and the Wizard of Oz(one of the dancers in front of the horse of dif. color.) I'm not sure what part she had in G.W.T.W.. but,on the 50th. anniversity we went to Tara with dolls that were made to resemble the charitures in the book(made before the movie,) to take publisity pictures, it was a interesting moment,just wondering arownd that old movie set.Well that was a long time ago and the family is long gone, the dolls went to my Aunt Loie(hopefully)to be part of the Motion Picture Mueseam in Hollywood, she was a go getter so maybe it happen.
