Album Description:

The first home that Elvis Presley purchased. His family's home in 1956. The property is now on the National Register of Historic Places. This is where Elvis lived when he made history in 1956 and part of 1957. I was co-owner from 1998 to 2006.

  • Thanks Lynn for your comments. I don't know who removed the musical notes or when they did. As for the color of the fence, when Elvis lived there the fence was not painted. he moved out in April 1957. The goal of the new owner was to restore the home exactly the way it looked when Elvis lived there. I tried to restore it completely but could not.

  • Someone needs to put the musical notes back on the fence inside the circles with the bars across. We lived on Oakridge from 1957 til 1965 and could drove by all the time. Lynn
