Hi Ted, I thoroughly enjoyed this album mainly due to the great action shots which were very clear and very colourful. Besides your great photographic talents, I think that you have got yourself an excellent camera. Thanks for sharing. Regards from Paul in Ontario, Canada.

Hi Ted! Excellent work my friend, your pictures are great, it is always a great pleasure to look at your albums. How is my summer you ask me a few weeks ago? Well, a new career since March, less time for leisures but next week i will be off at work for ten days and i expect to visit Maine coast if the weather looks good in this area. So after New Jersey last year, probably a second album of a U.S. state soon? Thanks for your frienship, Michel

Ciao Dearest Ted, Thanks so much for your insightful & very compassionate entries in my Footsteps Album.. Bless Your Big Heart. Sorry I do keep trying to drop into see you Dear Ted, but so many things have been keeping me on the fast lane & I hate to just jot a couple of lines down with you, instead of filling you in Bless The Lord. After I had finished in Asia doing the court trials.. I got a call that I was needed in Iraq ASAP & also had to train a new team as my other was too vital to pull out of the sudan, Ted they are doing a most wonderful job there.. working with over 2 million refugees in the last 6 months.. I,m very proud of their courage as 2 were killed not long ago, but yet they have stayed the course without flinching one step. The new team I was given was such a Blessing as they all knew me or of me & how I work, so that was such a God Send.. in it's own right. I took them to Poland for a 48hr rest break then sent them back into Iraq while I headed back to Israel this time for personal reasons & as a Legal Advicer [International Law] no photograhing this time. My Son is a very strong willed young man as are all of my faimly when it comes to Israel, my Parents fought for Israel until 1967 where my father was terribly injuried, so my Mother bought what was left of us children & my Papa to live for a few years in Australia, were both countries have been called home ever since for them. The whole faimly is Military or professionals in various fields, or both.. I was just praying my son would never have to take up arms in his lifetime.. but I Do Thank God Joshua is a Born Again Christian Ted. 90% of my faimly arn,t saved as yet.. so if you have a prayer group wack my faimly on it for me please Ted.. LOL.. My son when he was 14yrs old said, Mama I will never be a Christain so shut up. I turned straight around & grab his shoulders & said, "Joshua you don,t have any say in this.. Your Marked By The Lord Jesus & kick & scream son, but you are going to be saved!" He was of course:-).. Bless Jesus Ted, He has such a great sense of Humour with me. I pray you & your Beautiful Faimly are all well & Blessed Ted, You have taken some Great Shots of late, but I will come back to study them closer on my next days rest break.. Promise.. Take Care My Dear Friend, With Repect * Love In Christ, Everfaithfully, Bella. Jerusalem

Hello Ted. Thank you so much for the extremely wonderful message regarding my selection to the Featured Member! I was at work getting ready to shot down and come home about noon when I decided to just check my WS homepage message board. Low and behold, there was this message from Anne and you! I thought, what? What does this mean? So, I clicked on the link that Anne provided, and it took me to the last FMOW! Thought someone was playing a trick on me. lol When I got home, I emailed Anne, and she fixed the problem. It just blows me away that I was selected for this position of honor! To me, this is the top of the ladder in WS other than having a million people on your favorite list! lol Thank you again my friend for being the first person to say congrats. I think I will be extremely busy this weekend. Have a good one and GB. Lynn

Thanks for all the compliments Ted :o) To answer your questions... Yes I do take bad pics, but I always take so many that some good ones are bound to be in the bunch :o) The damselflies pics were taken with the Sigma 180 Macro... the 24-105L is a GREAT lens with some macro capability, but it cannot compete with a dedicated lens. The night shots were taken with the 24-105 handheld, high ISO (1600). I love the 24-105... quality is very good, not exceptional, but I adore the range it has. If you use it with a 30D, I dunno, since it becomes a 38-168, so it looses a lot of wide angle, which is what it made it attractive to me. New album online now! ;o) Ciao! Roberto

Hi Ted, thank you for your wonderful words. Yes, we are all okay! We even had yesterday a birthday party for my daughter's 30th birthday. We are about 100 km south from Haifa, quite near to Tel-Aviv. Meanwhile a safe area, but who knows!! It feels good that there are people out there concerned about us and who else lies here. More nice sides in this matter: I found many more Israelis here on Webshots because of this crisis and friends are always a wonderful part of life. Ted, again, thank you so much for your support! :-) Be well and take care! - Galit

Ted, this album is beautiful. I discovered it just browsing to see what my friends have been up to because my camera died last week. I have shopped for a "new" one and have an order that I am waiting on. I'm so excited! It's a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 350D. Is that similar to your Canon camera? The photo of your camera looked very similar, but they all have similar body features. Your photos with the camera are beautifully lit, saturated with color, and amazingly clear. I know the photographer has so much to do with that, but I'm hoping that I will get better quality images from a big step up in camera equipment for me. I used an SLR several years ago, but I have never had a fully digital SLR. I'm so excited that I can hardly stand myself! LOL :)) I might ask for some tips from you while I get acquainted with it if that's okay. Anyway, your "test shots" are gorgeous, and you are quite an artist with a camera. That's what I want to be when I grow up! LOL :)))) - Carole

Hi Ted, thank you so much for the nice comment to one of my Hibiscus pictures. You chose my personal favorite - of course! :-) Two weeks went by since then and I really don't know where the time is gone . . . .! I looked at this album several times, searching for new images! I am amazed about the clarity of the images. The details of some pictures are absolutely incredible! The pictures become heavenly when you photograph birds or flowers. You seem to have a special connection to birds - haven't you? Ted, I hope you and the whole family are well. Take care! - Galit

I haven't been in this album in a long time; months to be exact. I don't tend to visit flower albums much, even though I have created a few myself. Well this has grown into much more than a flower album, and even the flowers are magnificant for that matter. There's some fantastic work in here, Ted. But I really wanted to thank you for your overwhelming support and kindness and your special comments in my "The smell of diesel in the morning" feature. You are the best of the best out here. Your kindness and friendship is most appreciated by everyone, myself included. You should be named "The King of Webshots". Alan

Hi Ted, I can see that the great fun with your 30D continues and I hope it has met or surpassed your expectations. I particularly like your bird and flower shots, though your portraits are also outstanding. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. I hear nothing but great things about Discovery Cove. I hope you and yours had a great time there. Thank you for your very generous words on my Philadelphia Zoo album. The zoo is very photographer friendly with the animals fairly close and easy to photograph. I try to exclude obvious man-made objects from my pictures and with a 300mm zoom I can usually succeed, but not always. You look like you have a pretty good assortment of lenses with your 30D, to range from those close-up shots of the moon to those macros of your flowers. P.P.S. We all need plenty of luck with this coming hurricane season. I hope they all die a peaceful death in the middle of the Atlantic.

Hi Ted! Wow - I didn't know you had bought a new camera too - how exciting! How are you finding it? Looks like you are going really well with it and the colours are beautiful! My favourite would be the one of the bird in flight - that is a very difficult type of photo to take and I must admit one of the resons why a dslr would have been great, just couldn't afford it right now :) The autumn album was still done with my Sony actually (it does have beautiful colour that's for sure even if it is fairly basic!) but I have posted up my first trial photos on my other website, klb49200. I will also be adding some new photos to the autumn album today from the fz30. There are so many things to remember with this new camera - it is quite a step up for me but I am really enjoying it :) Thankyou so much for your comments on my albums - I'm sorry I haven't been better at getting back to you but I really do appreciate it! Best wishes and hugs, Kate

Hi Ted. Many thanks for your more than nice coment in my new featured albom "walking in Ceasarea" The Mediterranean is very poor in fish, and suffer from over fishing, contamination/ pollution and lack of plancton , from the days the Asuan dam had been build on the river Nile in Egypt. So if the fisherman will like to go home with fish , he shuld buy north sea fish from the supermarket......Any how, your new toy, Canon 30d is my next dream, as she is now the best "normal" camera in the market , and put the nikon d 70 s far in the back. Photo no 14 for exemple with the 400 mm lens, is the proof to what I had sayed. So I am looking forwerd to see your next photo hunt. All the best. From Israel - RAN

Thank You, For signing my guest book and the nice comments. I will leave a short caption soon on each picture. The majority of the photographs were taken at the Jersey Shore in New Jersey USA. The lighthouse is the Barnaget Lighthouse in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. I was flying the kite next to it and taking the picture at the same time. I started my hobby of photography two years ago. My camera is a Sony F828. It’s a great camera but it has a fixed lens. F2.8 TO 200. I have plans on getting a Cannon EOS-1Ds Mark II. “Dance Like No One’s Watching!” :o) John

Hi Ted, I see you look in the moon, while there are a lot of preparations for a wedding to be taken care of! ! ! I know(!): they gave you the camera to keep you out of their way!!? Are you one of those 'fathers of the groom' like there were made movies about the 'father of the bride!? I mean I just look at how your CRS is working!!! :-) - - - - Thanks for the translations of CRS and SHMBO. Some day I WILL know English!:-) But back to those two additions to your test. I found just those two. After seeing THEM I did not have eyes for anything else! WOW! I was overwhelmed when I was looking for the man in the moon. Those full size images are amazing! I mean: really AMAZING! The clarity of the image and there is so much light! I just can't wait for the next lunar eclipse! I find it interesting that you chose the 15th of Nissan the night of Passover for your experiment. The full moon has quite a lot to do with Passover. It seemed to be proven that the moon parted the sea so that the Hebrews could escape through it and Pharaoh's people drowned when they followed them. But enough of this stuff. You have to get ready for a wedding! - Take care! Galit

Ciao Dearest Ted, Long Time Since I have had the chance to visit your Guestbook.. The Mighty Canon 30D with the right lenses & filters is a brillent camera that can master even the most truely difficult shots... with studying each cat; of photograhy styles such as still life fully then moving onto movement & light etc.. My Father had me study under him for 3 yrs just on setting up his equipment, doing light testing, tripod levels, lighting & lenses testings.. lol Ted on Still life work only, until he said I could move onto marcos & then landscapes.. good thing I started when I was 4yrs old lol.. as He was a perfectionest with His many projects.. not just in the field of Being a most brillent Photograher.. Ted as far as me teaching others photograhy I have taught the assistants in My Crews when doing field work overseas & most of them are military personal, at my request as I have no time for social graces when in hot spots & have limited time frames to capture everything which is vital to my reports when sending them in for more AID & other civil problems to be exposed, those shoots I would never publish on a public platform such as webshots etc as they are to graghic, when it comes to shooting in some refuge camps where children & adults are starving or already dead.. then there is the violence also which I can hardly stomach shooting, let alone post these horror images as some do for the genral public veiwing. All of this work goes to various Govenment & Church Bodies in Various major Countries & The U.N. to whom I am under contract with & this leaves me more time for my legal work while they lobby for for the monies & manpower for the hard hit areas I have just come out from. All My Work that is posted here at webshots or sold, are shoots or single images I take to unwind from my primary work.. & if I,m pretty wound up still, I get into the more artistic styles that you can see in most of my albums,, it's very calming & I can spend hours on 1 image making over 200 variations proofs before chosing one that I think is the best. When I do Teach Ted it is on International Law [mostly human right cases] at various Uni's & Govenment Departments. That has eased of greatly as many fine Lawyers have risen up & are now such a Great Team in their own right. God never ceases to thrill & amaze me with How Much Power Through His Love can be accomplish'd through his Children who are willing to do as He asks them & not even think to ask Him why!:-)))) LOL Ted I just cracked up laughing here as that is the story of my Life with The Lord.. I always find out the reasons after I do exactly as I am told to do.. I love that. I must go as I have been here quite awhile now & it's 5.15am here & I still have some work to finish before going to sleep.. Have a Wonderful & Very Blessed Easter Ted & Your Lovely Faimly Too.. God Bless & Prosper Your Heart & All Your Heart Desires To Overflowing.. With Much Fondness & Repect, Everfaithfully Bella.

Good Morning Ted. This album is great and you have a lot of wonderful images here. Because I don't have your personal email address, I was not able to invite you to visit my newest album of my sheep. When you have time, you might want to drop by for a quick visit. Now that I only have one ewe to deliver, I can enjoy my WS friends again. Hope all is well with you. Lynn, Oregon/USA

Hello Ted! The Canon and you seem to get along quite well. The friendship seems to be instantaneous, something like 'Hail fellow, well met' sorta thing. The pictures are colourful, especially the vivid reds. Red is a difficult colour and you seem to have got it with ease. The Amaryllis looks spectacular, so do many of the odds and ends. Wish you all the best with your new acqusition! Best wishes, Suresh

Hi Ted, I can see you are having fun with your new camera!! I must say you created some great shots in your playing around shooting a little bit of this and that. I really like #23 the over all shot is great, and the depth of field is fantastic! The Library comment cracked me up too! #34 is lovely, please give Connie my compliments on her adorable arrangment of a very sweet Easter display of bunnies and tulips. Or, was it you that created it maybe...lol I too will be getting a new camera soon, I will check out your choice. Funny I was about to ask you what camera you would suggest when I came to see your latest photos! What did I find...this album! Thanks for your recent visits my friend, always so nice your comments. Take care, Laura

Hmmmm... sorry, what is "USM"? Maybe you have lowered the in-camera sharpening? The lenses you use are fast enough to avoid blurring in the pics you have here, so I'm a bit surprised... Ciao! Roberto

Hi Ted, This is a telling album. I can tell from these excellent pictures that you are having a blast with your new 30D and that its leaning curve must not be that steep. I can also tell by your wall that you like Great Egrets and Little Blue Herons. Those are outstanding images as well. Congratulations on your new toy. I hear nothing but great things about it. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your very kind words on my People album. Pam has grown up. That cover picture was taken over 30 years ago and Aidan and James (in the same album are her sons, my grandkids. About the upcoming H season – we’re going to need plenty of luck. I’ve heard in the news that there is a 40+% chance that the Gulf Coast will be hit by one or more this year, but I can’t imagine that it can be any worse than either of the last two years.

Hi Ted! It is a wonderful feeling to have a new Camera and your test drive has run perfectly! Well done.. Love the flowers, especially the Petunias and Amaryllis - great shots. What was the old camera that you have put into retirement? Always sad to put an old friend to rest.. But I look forward to many wonderful albums from you now, plus more great Clouds and Sky.. Thankyou for your lovely message and I am pleased you are enjoying my tour of Tasmania. I returned with 1,600 photos so there will be more albums yet, but not all pics will make it to Webshots.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Again a Canon! Do the exchangeable lenses of your 'old' camera fit for the new one? I see you wandering through and around the house looking for a nice shot! :-) You took wonderful close-ups of the Louisiana Iris and the different Amaryllis, and the cover picture is just breathtaking! My typing skills are for sure not a s good as yours. I managed to type you one message, and as I sent it arrived 3 new messages from You! :-o I am glad your offices are back to New Orleans. A friend told me, there is still a lot to restore in New Orleans. Yes new cameras take time. I should be looking for a new one. Mine is now over 5 years old and it is difficult and VERY expensive to get new batteries. Thanks for looking at Yoav. I think I will miss Yoav's first free walk. In a weeks time they will go with him to New York to visit friends. He sure will not wait for me when there is all America waiting for him! :-) And I think you turned out very well, even without some pictures with your first steps. Now your hair gets the color of mine, slowly slowly you are ready to become a grandfather! And now I go back to my mail. I am just about to finish the mail of the feature day and then are only 48 new ones left!! :-) Have a wonderful time, enjoy every single day of those. They will be remembered forever!- Galit

Hi Ted, I can't believe I'm first to comment on your 'test album' for your new TOY, er tool of the trade! Great work and I see you're getting the hang of it very quickly. It was fun to see what subjects you found to practice with, including the 'man behind the camera' - great shot as is the one of your group at work - I'm guessing a timed exposure. Now I can't wait to see your newest album ... off I go.

Judy aka L@dybug, Florida
