Lines, Shapes, Patterns and Color

Album Description:

A collection from all my various photos of shapes and patterns. I particularly like the optical illusion of parallel lines coming together over distance. Most of these photos are not duplicated in other albums; a few are. Check out Symmetry in Florida...

  • Is your love of symmetry a reflection of your well ordered mind or a desperate attempt to control the chaos?? LOL Your friend, Mary

  • Hello Ken, I've commented on this album before, but you keep adding to it anyway (ha, ha). I cannot say the "Mondavi Winery (#22, #23)" pictures are my favorites since I like the whole album - but they recall our time in California and ignite wonderful memories. Thank you for you "Cool" comments on our featured album Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge RR". That train ride was the last day of our vacation. I've got 3 of the 4 albums covering the whole trip up on Webshots - 1 to go. When you get a moment send me a note about your "expectations of a Nikon D70" if that is still your intention. • Hi Ken, I love natural and man-made patterns, but am not as good as you at spotting and photographing them. I particularly like your lobster buoys. I guess the colors signify ownership - sort of like a cattle brand? Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your kind entry last Friday on my Las Vegas album.

  • Hi Ken. Love your perspective in this album. Eveywhere you look there are lines and patterns. The everyday walk takes on a new perspective. Love the colors and cropping of the subject matter. Thanks for commenting in my recent feature. Shhhhhhhhhh... I am the Queen of my castle. ;-) Eti

  • Hello Ken. I am here to say thank you for calling by the day of my Warwick Castle feature. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Your kind and generous comments meant a lot to me and were very much appreciated. I LOVE everything about this album of yours. You certainly have an 'eye' for discovering lines, shapes, patterns and colours. Very cleverly done, if I may say so. I admire your talent to take photos like these. Take care and I hope you have a great week. Best wishes, Jayne/West Midlands, UK :) xx

  • Hi! What interesting and original album. I appreciate the way to abstarction without using special effects. Congrat also for featured (not very easy for this kind of albums). Thanks for your comment on my album. Ciao, Roberto.

  • Hi Ken, the lines and patterns you have in this album are fantastic! I especially like the lobster buoys, the Space Needle in Seattle, the white porch, the soy bean field, the pier in Bass Harbor and #29, the road in #28, and the open country road and sky in WY - reminds me to go there again, it was one of my favorite places... Wonderful album! Also, thanks for your kind comments on my Alaska Roads album. Best regards, Ina in Canada

  • Hi Ken! This is a very enjoyable album, such simple things but you have made them into interesting pictures. Well done, especially with the Porch and other lines appearing to meet in the distance. Wonderful colours, especially in the Blocks, the Pumpkins and Gourds. Thankyou for viewing my album of Fremantle. Enjoying a Lillypilly is usually an aquired taste -- they are crisp and crunchy, with a lighter texture than an apple, yet rather sour!! Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

  • Ken, very creative album! And thanks for your kind words on "Metal Art". I don't know how anyone else does it, but I (1st) upload the photos of a new album and then (2nd) use a web browser to edit the titles & descriptions. So you must have reviewed "Metal Art" even before I finished the final corrections - I always make mistakes which my wife catches. Thanks for being so quick. Ed/Albuquerque
