The 3rd Festival once again came through with an amazing wealth of local New Orleans talent. The artists, aware of the dangers of the tropical temps at this time of year chose to present a series of subtle, sensuous performance pieces which focused on technique, conserving their energies for more cooler seasons. The unexpected appearance of a male dancer (in the midst of what appeared to be a trio of caped females), the turbaned Sitar player, Bunny Adam's tropical piece and many other surprises all proved that each festival occurance brings us rich diversity, disciplined artistry and serious sensuality.
