  • Hi Jane! I love the addition of the Columbine! I first saw Columbines out in Colorado and thought they were so beautiful. I was finally able to grow a few around here in MO, but they really don't like our summers! It's such a beautiful flower. I love the whole album! You're doing such a great job with Photoshop CS; keep more Mirror Images coming our way!!! Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

  • Jane, I'm fascinated by these shots. I've attempted a few after reading an article in eDigital Photo magazine. I would like to figure out a way to have the final photo appear as a horizontal, rather than vertical so people might use them as wallpaper on their computers. I may try adding a black layer to change the appearance. My new camera is more like a 35mm than digital. It offers bracketing and changeable lenses. It came with a 18-70mm zoom lens. When I'm ready I'll probably buy a macro lens for closeups. Richard

  • Hi Jane, I am so happy you choose a rose! :-))) Here is a shortcut straight to the rose! http://community.webshots.com/photo/208108430/208179119jpGIFU You put some beautiful new images here in this album. I like the Calla. In Hebrew 'Calla' is the daughter in law, the bride and the flower. My mother in law loved the Calla more that all the other flowers. She always said with a huge smile, that she loves a l l her Callas. She had 3 sons and daughters in law and hundreds of Calla flowers around the house. When I see a Calla it always gives me a smile. Oh yes, I am well and happy. I hope you are too. Have a beautiful day! :-))) Galit from Israel

  • Hi Jane. The additions are wonderful. Especially On The Prowl (#4). It looks supernatural! I'm glad you're including more subjects. When I work on new Fractals, I don't start with anything special in mind. As I stretch, rotate and manipulate an image it eventually begins to remind me of something. Then I choose a title. I recently learned that as Premium Members we can include up to 100 images in an album, so I will continue to look for new ideas. Richard

  • Jane, I hadn't noticed the last time I viewed the album that you're now using Adobe Photoshop CS. I'm still using version 7.01. I may be wrong, but the sequence of some of the photos seems different. I've always wondered whether it would be possible to make additions somewhere in the middle, rather than at the end. I can't figure out what Lost At Sea (#5) is, but I like it very much. The horizon line between the top and bottom parts of some photos is visible in a few shots. Because of its length the black line is noticeable in Dogwood Blossom (#15). I don't know whether it's because the top and bottom sections were not moved close enough to eliminate it. I use the Clone tool to hide the line. Richard

  • Jane, the Raven and Dogwood Blossom photos are great. Many years ago I took many people photos of a local church group as they prepared for their annual Broadway type shows. So taking pictures of people is old hat for me, although I seldom do these days. I've found another article in eDigital Photo magazine about using selective color by creating layers in Photoshop and changing one of the layers to black and white, then erasing part of it to let the color show through. For example, I took a photo of two dandelions. The green grass was changed to black and white. After erasing the dandelions on one of the layers I found that the brilliant yellow that shows through is striking. I want to attempt more of these. Richard
