John Carmody Writes RE: Canadian Seal Hunt Rally - Great Turnout!!! Please post pictures ! Thanks Mary ........ For those of you who missed the rally or could not make it for whatever reason...this rally just had to be our best yet. Police tell us there was about 35 activists not including kevin and john present coming and going and all are on the network list so it was a huge turn out especially for a week day and here in ireland. Kevin and John met with the canadian ambassador for over an hour and john handed him a letter on behalf of ARAN and a video of this years hunt. He also told us of the huge amount of letters and phone calls they are receiving daily of this campaign and issue, keep it up. John later went on Caost FM to talk about the rally and the campaign. My goodness, Mary, this was an incredible account of the horrors that humans are committing against these beautiful creatures. I, too, will be sending a letter. I came here to visit your albums, and to thank you for your wonderful comments and kindness in welcoming me to this site...but found so much more. Your album is very educational and enlightening...it should be seen by all in hopes that more people will become active for this cause and, at the very least, remind us of how careful we must be not to support these industries by purchasing products that profit them. I greatly admire the work you're doing for these seals, it must be very heartbreaking, as well as rewarding. Thank you for sharing this excellent album.

Dear Mary Alice Congratulations on this album! I have been fighting against the seal hunt since the 1970's, but our Gov't stubbornly refuses to abolish it in spite of worldwide protests. On the 'Care2' environmental website there is a place where one can 'click' for free once a day in order to save the seals as well as the rain forest, big cats, etc. Thank you for sharing this album with us. Hello Mary Alice. I just want to say how much I admire the work you are doing to help abolish the inhuman and vile actions of seal hunting. My husband and I have been actively involved in the fight against such practices since the early 70s. I hope you won't mind that I posted a direct link to the horrific and disgraceful photo of "Canada's Shame!" on the WS message boards. At this moment There's an incongruous and rather heated debate going on about this horrific practice under the beautiful photo of a baby Harp Seal. You may find it beyond comprehension, but there is actually some moron who is pleading sympathy for the perpetrators of these actions. It may or may not surprise you that this person is a Canadian and resides in Canada. I felt compelled to post the link so people who are either insensitive, have no knowledge of, or are living in a cave somewhere can see the horror first hand. Charlotte (CT.)

Hello Mary Alice Yes it is wrong to kill animals for only there skind like Mink, Fox and so on. They are kept under very bad conditions. But in Greenland we Hunt them for get food on the table and close on our body. Please consider that it is the only incom for most of the Greenlandic Inuits. Yes for stop off killing animal for only The skind. But also a big YES for hunting for surviving. And thank you for taking the time to comment on my albums.Greetings Tim GREENLAND
